I have worked at the Library for more than thirty years in a variety of professional positions including librarian in the American Revolutionary Bicentennial Office; copyright examiner; public affairs specialist; special program detailee to Human Resources–Office of the Director and Office of the Associate Librarian for Library Services; and administrative officer. I am currently a Specialist in Cartographic History in the Geography and Map Division.

I joined the Guild in 1976 and have been a member every pay period that I have been in the Bargaining Unit since that time. From 1983-1990, I served as Chief Negotiator for the Guild. As a steward, my special interests are in the areas of Dispute Resolution, EEO, and career enhancement. I am a certified mediator and have mediated disputes in the private sector under the auspices of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; and have given numerous presentations on Labor Relations, Labor-Management Cooperation, and Mediation.
